Dreams to Designs

TreeShine Designs came to life from many years of sewing clothes and costumes for fun, dreaming of skirts with cargo pockets, shorts with pockets and pixie points, shirts that flow and flatter, late night conversations with inspiring friends, and my amazingly encouraging partner.

Fabrics

All fabrics for TreeShine clothes are chosen with Our Earth in mind. The white fabric used in most of our clothes is made with sustainably harvested bamboo, organic cotton, and a small bit of spandex for stretch. Some designs are also produced from salvaged fabrics destined for landfills. All patchwork items are made from scraps and upcycled fabrics.

Designing

All items are designed and patterned by me the old school way, with paper, pencil, french curves, rulers, and my hands. Drafting and grading patterns (making different sizes) focuses my mind and is so calming to my soul.

Handmade

Each garment is made one at a time in my home studio, named The Fungeon. After construction each piece is hand dyed with fiber reactive dyes and low impact dying methods making each item a truly unique, one of a kind piece of wearable art.
